Alabama's A-Day spring football game to be televised on ESPNU
Alabama's A-Day spring football game will be televised on ESPNU, according to the television network's website.
Coverage of the April 16 game is slated to begin at 2 p.m., from Bryant-Denny Stadium. Texas and Arkansas also will have games broadcast at the same time on ESPN.
The 2010 A-Day game was the second-most attended spring game in Alabama's history with 91,312. The largest attendance was in 2007 with 92,138, which was coach Nick Saban's first year as head coach.
This season's game will have plenty of story lines highlighted by the quarterback battle between redshirt sophomore A.J. McCarron and redshirt freshman Phillip Sims.
The game also will be a first glimpse at many of Alabama's early enrollees including U.S. Army All-American national high school player of the year Dee Hart, as well as junior college transfers Jesse Williams, Aaron Douglas and Quinton Dial.
